Thank you for putting this into words for so many of us. With age I finally stopped being othered. I am very happy you were able to see the light much earlier. I hope the same for many others.

Thank you for reading. It means a lot to me. I'm glad you got to where it didn't matter any more. That's amazing.

Thank you. It took me too long to get here.

FACTS:

We are all imperfect human beings.

Along life's journey, not everyone we meet will like us.

What’s important is that we like us! 💕

These sayings may help:

“It doesn’t matter what other people think of me.”

“It’s none of my business what other people think of me.”

We are all imperfect human beings.

Their wrong judgment is their problem.

Hello my friend, this is breathtakingly insightful. The concept of the jogakbo life the idea that our complexity isn't a failure to fit in, but a deliberate, beautiful assembly of scraps, is one of the most affirming things I’ve read in a long time.

I often feel that struggle as a writer and researcher, that moment where someone’s eyes glaze over because they can't fit me into a neat box. But you’ve turned that "othering" on its head. Thank you for giving a name and a history to that feeling of being useful but "other." Your work doesn't just explain things, it anchors them.

Dear Ink & Heritage,

your piece is, as usual, brilliant 🌺🌺🌺

The Jogakbo concept ( I want to go deeper inyo it ) reminds me of japanese Kintsugi.

What do you think?

J.

Yes! Kintsugi is not imperfect. It's perfect the way it is. You use the pieces and make it perfect!!! Thank you so much!
